This is the final image that I sent off for the Left Hand of God Competition.I chose to use the third excerpt of the book to illustrate Thomas Cale, as I thought it gave the best physical description of him. I particularly liked the description of the scars on his back. Therefore, I played about with watercolour, acrylic and photography and line drawing to create this image. I also made sure that his surroundings are dingy and simple to make his pale body stand out with the dark scars showing.
