21 and many more.

It was my birthday the other day. It was the big 21!Woo...i've been busy taking lots of photographs and drawing my presents.

On my birthday I went to the beautiful Brucianni's in Preston. I went with my mum, my sister, my best friend and my boyfriend. We all had a natter and ate the best chocolate ice cream. My sister took a few photos for me.

As you can see, I got an amazing Smith-Corona typewriter. It's so beautiful...I love it to bits...need to get a new ribbon for it, but apart from that it's perfect!

I also got some chocolates, alcohol, toy dinosaurs, a teddy holding a 21, art stuff, a pretty necklace, worry dolls and a beautiful tin for my sentimental things. I got to hang out with family and the best friends ever. We eate pizza and watched Scott Pilgrim...and then I went home to drink some kopparberg and eat carrot cake that my lovely boyfriend made!

On the Friday I went out drinking with my friends. A few of us made bird masks...we looked coool!

Overall it was an amazing 21st on both occassions...seeing my friends and going special places with my loved ones has inspired me to get some work done. So you WILL be seeing lots more work from me very shortly! So Keep and eye out!

Wooly hands.

Hello.

I have recently been quite busy. What with summer projects to do and personal work too. I've been knitting a scarf! A stripy one at that! I'm either going to sell it on etsy or keep it for when it's cold.

I'm going to design some packaging for the scarf, just in case I do sell it.

I've also been keeping busy with my Me Me Me Project and editorial pieces for both the project and the LEP. Though every now and again I forget to buy a paper...oops!

I have many plans for the future. I just hope it goes to plan...well...when I say plan...I mean a bumpy road...hold onto my hat and go and do the best I can. With so many talented illustrators against me, I do worry. As there are so many talented people who make me doubt my work. I'm quite stubborn though and apparently optimistic so I keep on ploughing through. I keep telling myself " I can do it...I can do it!"...Though I worry about if I can't do it. What if noone wants to commision me?...What if noone wants me to work for their company or sign me on to design stuff? But I put my worries aside and think of new ideas...experminet with materials and enjoy what I do...i'm trying to make work that i'd like...for me.

I have ideas for zines and things to sell at the stalls when we need to raise money for our exhibition. Many ideas I tell ye.

I can do it.

I'll be uploading more images soon of Lomography and designs for my shop and projects.

Sqawks and...

This is an illustration of my Cockatiel,Errol. It is one of the images in my ME ME ME project book. I drew him using one of his own feathers dipped in ink and I used an orange pencil crayon for his cheeks.

I am currently working on quite afew things all at the same time. Many ideas crashing about inside me waiting to break out. The majority of my art will be done and uploaded on here when I return from Sonisphere festival, where I intend on doing some drawings too.

Big Foot in Scotland!

Beware of Big Foot!

Sentimental.

I'm feeling rather sentimental today. Every now and again I search through my mums room for old photographs and I look back on my childhood and the black and white photos of my mums past.

Here I have drawn my mum and dad.

Sleepy Lady...

It is late and I am tired from tidying like a crazy person...and then pigging out like a piggy wig!...UGH...

I will upload this weeks LEP illustration around the weekend...well, before we leave for Scotland.

Tomorrow will hopefully consist of me exercising like crazy to burn off those tasty treats, and coming up with zine ideas and working on the two summer projects i've been given by my course at uni. One is basically doing a few editorial pieces, and the other is all about myself...i'm hoping to buy a lovely sketchbook for it...make it rather pretty and inventive.

SCOTLAND IN A FEW DAYS!...I've never been to Scotland...as you can probably tell...I can't wait! Taking Bruce and looking after some lovely spaniels. For some reason I imagine us sitting on a big hill with misty mountains around us...ahhh...lets hope! Shall be taking lots of photos and doing many illustrations...even if it's a whole book of mountains...or scottish people!

I do apologise for the lack of sanity in these blogs...but I wouldn't be an artiste if I was sane, now would I?

Zombie time...

This is a photograph I took and developed in College. It was for a fashion brief...we had to make our model a dress out of recycled material...so I chose parcel papaer...I then wrote Gary Numan: Haunted lyrics on the paper and did some colourful splashes. I also decided to carry on with the rather melancholic and dark theme...using Black and White film and getting my model to pose in zombie like positions...in this photo she is eating herself...I do enjoy B-Movie style things...

I am also exceedingly tired from doing my illustration...that'll (hopefully) be up on here tomorrow...I'm zombie knackered!

Lancaster Canal...

This image is from last weeks LEP. A dark story about a woman feeling upset and leaving a party to sit at the edge of Lancaster Canal...she meets a man who came across as nice and sweet... but an accident leads to her death and his imprisonment...This image shows the womans torn shawl wrapped round the handles of a bike, floating in the dirty brown water of the Canal...

Lovely Edgar...

Edgar Allan Poe was a mighty story writer and poet. He also had a lovely face which I could not resist drawing.

I will be selling prints and possibly bookmarks of this sweet fellow on my etsy very soon.

Theatricals...

This is my second illustration for the LEP. I've illustrated the part of the story where a woman is faking Donald Peer's autograph to send to a woman as she told her that she knows him well.

Lancashire Evening Post...

Here is the illustration I did for last Saturdays' Lancashire Evening Post (LEP). I illustrated a story about a man who has a bad temper and someone blocks his daughters drive when they want to go out so he gaffa tapes up the car. In the picture he is gurning as his daughter describes him as looking like the world gurning champion when smiling without his teeth in.

Shall upload other illustrations when they are done. Keep a look out in the LEP on Saturdays. Centre pages.

Hair Dye...

At the moment i'm pretty much just drawing things in my room and pretty people I find on the internet. Hoping to take my sketchbook to the Download festival so I can draw some people and tents and whatnot.

This is a drawing of my hair dye box and the ever beautiful lady that is always present upon it.
