Christmas cards (roughs).

Party Penguin, Sleepy dog and Happy Polar Bear. These are a few of the christmas card designs that I have been working on...I think the polar bear might need a bit more work but i'll see if I have time. I do like my party penguin.





These are a couple of rough designs that I like and will turn into neat versions.

I will be getting some of these printed very soon so please let me know if you are interested in purchasing some.

Long Overdue.

I tried to upload this in time for Halloween, but alas my internet connection was rubbish...but NOW...I have proper broadband! I'm so happy! Mr. Walrus wasn't sure what to wear for Halloween!

Hello!

As of late I have been working on a Children's Book for my sister. Not sure if we will be sending the book off to a Publisher, I think we're mainly doing it for her children. The story is about her new adorable puppy, Harry.




I have also been enjoying doing some self portraits. This is me looking quite freaked out... but what is it??


I'm also editing my Dirty Dog story as I got some good advice from a publisher. I hope I can edit it in such a way that they want to publish it.

This is ME with Charles Darwin! Well...a statue of him...but STILL! I was so happy at the Natural History Museum! I can imagine spending days in there...More photos to come at somepoint!

I'm currently working on a few stories and a few commisions for my family and friends...I feel itchy to draw...i'm going to draw animals...what animals??? ANY AND ALL! Muhaha!

It's been a while!

I went to London the other week for the D&AD New Blood show to exhibit
and I explored the land a bit as i'd never been to London before.

I also went to Sonisphere to relax and rock out to cool bands.

AND...

Just this Friday gone by I became a Graduate! I am now Emma Collins BA!!!

I'm currently working on some exciting things...promotional packs and new stories!

Devious Plans.

At the moment I have nothing to do really. With uni pretty much over all I have been doing is tidying the house, watching films and playing with my dogs. Recently though I was inspired to re-do a story I did in my first year at uni, about origami. I have so many good ideas and I feel so inspired! I can't wait to actually make something! At the moment i'm just in the "writing the story and sketching" stage. I'm so excited. Maybe I could send it off to some publishers when it's done...but we shall see.

Last week I finished uni. It felt weird...and it still does a bit. My pictures were up on the wall, all work (apart from a few bits I forgot cause i'm an idiot)handed in, three hours sleep and I got my promotional pack > done! Woo.




I didn't cry...though I probably will at one of the exhibitions...which you should come to...

This beautiful poster is illustrated by my fellow talented classmate, Stavros Siamptanis.

At the moment i'm working on a story I wrote and illustrated a few years back. It wasn't good enough to send off to Macmillan, and i've got some great ideas to simplify and illustrate it...very excited!

Madness.

Tonight/ this morning holds the last few remaingin hours that I can get my work finished to take to class tomorrow. I feel so far away from the end.It's my own fault...every year I do the same damn thing.

I had a terrible day and it's still going...though i'm not angry or crying anymore...just a bit numb and feeling insane.

I'm feeling quite sad and nostalgic this week as it's the last week of teaching at uni...so pretty much the last week...then we have easter, then we come back to hand some work in and get our stuff out. Then we have our degree show and then we have the show in London. Busy times. It's exciting and scary. I'm going to miss being a student.

Worry wart.

I'm feeling as though the madness is creeping in...so little time left...such worries...I don't like to show how worried I get...but I DO! I'm a big big big big worrier...
